This is the First EVER video game training to be held in Ireland!

AAA video game Performance and Casting Directors Gillian Brashear and Randall Ryan from HamsterBall Studios are coming to Dublin! They will impart their innovative techniques to create rich characters that we believe and care about, and more importantly book.

• Interpret audition briefs to give captivating performances

• Get an insider’s view into the casting process

• Work characters through cold reads, improvs, and scripts

• Prepare for what actually occurs in a video game session

We can’t detail everything, but here’s an outline of what to expect:

Day 1 - All about auditions, improv, cold reads and… some surprises! Because expecting the unexpected is de rigueur in video games. Everyone works from prepared and unprepared material. We’ll unearth the characters lurking within you and invite them out to play.

Day 2 - Behold, the video game session! We’re taking your characters through the gauntlet of the talking, eating, fighting (not farting) and emoting that you’ll need for your proudly won session.

Everything you will learn is usable in any genre, so while it’s video game-focused, this is about far more than just video game work. This is not a traditional read-redirect-read again workshop. This is a full-on intensive immersion where you will work your acting craft in unimaginable ways. Be prepared to sweat, cry, laugh, and have your game changed for good.

WRAP PARTY - We’ll have a networking event after Sunday is finished for all the participants.
